Music Ministy
“Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.” ~Psalm 95: 1-2
Purpose: To provide music to enhance the celebration of the Liturgy for all Masses and special occasions and to encourage the participation of the congregation in the songs and responses.
The Mission: To provide music that is liturgically appropriate for the season and to serve as scriptural reinforcement for the scheduled readings.
Duties & Requirements: To provide liturgical support in voice and instrument for all regular Sunday Liturgies and feast days. Participate either as a member of the choir and/ or as an instrumentalist. You don’t have to consider yourself a soloist (God loves to hear you anyway). To help people pray, to be as one, to make music that is user-friendly for all congregations, to heal and lift, to bring all closer to God, and to strengthen faith. Interested persons should contact the respective choir directors.
5pm Saturday Choir
6am Sunday Choir - rehearse immediately following the Mass
8am Sunday Filipino Choir - 8am Sunday liturgy, rehearsal Saturday 2pm.
10am Sunday Samoan Choir - rehearse Thursday in Conference Room 1/2
12noon Sunday Contemporary Choir - rehearsal before Mass
6pm Sunday Youth & Young Adult (YCL) Choir - rehearse Thursday 6:30pm to 8pm in the church
