Prison Ministry
Purpose: To engage in outreach to our brothers in Christ who are inmates at Halawa CCC and Federal Prison to bring God's Word to them and give them an opportunity to worship together and receive our Eucharistic Lord on a weekly basis.
Duties: To be able to assist a team in taking Communion, helping with readings and singing hymns along with the inmates.
Requirements: A formal application must be submitted to our Pastor after which the volunteer must attend training provided by the State Dept. of Corrections. Volunteers must abide by Corrections rules of conduct and dress. Teams are scheduled for weekly rotations or as needed.
