Religious Education

Learning the Catholic Faith

We refer to our teaching ministry as "Religious Education" or "Faith Formation". We have a responsibility to teach adults and children about the teachings of the Catholic Church (Religious Education) but our ultimate goal is to help parishioners live and cherish (Faith Formation) our Catholic faith. Parents have the primary responsibility to form their children in the faith; parish ministries assist the parents in this responsibility. Parishes also teach the faith to adults through Bible studies, prayer days, catechetical ministries, etc.
