Baptisms are scheduled on the second Sunday of the month after the 12pm Mass.
"Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission..." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1213)
This process is for infants and children up to the age of 7.
Children over the age of 7 and adults seeking the Sacrament of Baptism are asked to contact the parish office to register for one of our Religious Education or Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) programs. Our faith formation team will guide you through the appropriate preparation for receiving the Sacraments of Christian Initiation.

To register your child for Baptism, the following must be submitted to the parish office:
Completed Baptism Registration Form
Required baptismal offering
A copy of the child's birth certificate
Once the required documents have been received, a mandatory meeting with the child's parents and our pastor, Fr. Sebastian K. Soosai, will be scheduled through the parish office.
Preparation classes are mandatory for both parents and sponsors/godparents.
The required classes are held during the week before the scheduled Baptism:
Thursday at 5:30 p.m. with Fr. Royd Mweemba in Room 3
Friday at 5:30 p.m. with Deacon Fred in Rooms 1 & 2
Attendance at both classes is required before the Baptism can take place.
Parents are asked to choose sponsor(s) or godparent(s) who will faithfully assist them in raising their child in the Catholic faith. Sponsors are called to be examples of Christian life and to support the child throughout his or her faith journey.
To serve as a sponsor or godparent, an individual must:
Be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
Be fully initiated, having received the Sacraments of Baptism, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation.
Be at least 16 years of age.
Be living a life that is consistent with the Catholic faith and the responsibility they are undertaking.
