Eucharistic Ministers
Purpose: Minister the Eucharist to the parish community during Mass.
Duties: In the absence of enough priests, volunteers minister the Eucharist at Masses, Communion services as needed. Training and a handbook is provided. Ministers operate in teams at Mass, setting up the vessels, linens, wine carafe and hosts for Mass. They also stay back after Mass to cleanse the vessels and set up for the next Mass.
Requirements: Practicing Catholic who has been confirmed and is in full communion with the Church. Ministry formation training required, and annual spiritual development is offered. Monthly schedules of assignment to Masses will be provided.
