Many concerns face our nation and our state – unemployment, social distance and wearing masks, etc. all due to COVID. However, the ‘now issue’ is human rights for the unborn and the newborn that needs your support in State Senate Bill SB842.

This Bill (SB842) ensures that every viable child that survives an abortion attempt is provided the same life-sustaining care and treatment any/every other newborn receives. We ask you to support SB842, first by writing or calling and encouraging Hawaii State Senator Jarrett Keohokalole, Chair of the Health Committee, to allow this bill to be heard in committee and to be open to public testimony.

Second, write your respective Senator to note you wholeheartedly support SB842. Understand, this bill is purely a human rights issue – the ‘human rights’ of the surviving baby. The media will tell you this bill interferes with a woman’s right to choose. It does not.

     Thank you for your support.
