PARISH SECRETARY
Mrs. Bernie Teson announces her retirement September 1, 2023. Parish secretaries are often the first contact for parishioners when you come to the parish office for help and information. So now we begin a search for a new secretary. Any interested person may call the parish office (
808-487-2414) for more information and the hope is that we will find someone perhaps one or two months before July 31 to allow plenty of time for training.
YOUTH MINISTER
Youth ministry has top priority in our parish. We have a serious obligation to support our youth in every way and to share with them our holy Faith. We pray the Lord will send us a caring adult or couple who will lead our high school Life Teen youth ministry. Training and all materials are provided, including a training conference in Arizona next June. Do you have a passion for serving our youth? Interested persons may contact Father Arnold's
email.

Old St. Elizabeth Church
THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF OUR PARISH IS COMING IN 2025! The actual date of the dedication of the first parish church was April 15, 1925. That anniversary date is not that far off and we need to consider preparations now. Do you have any old photos from WAY back? A wedding or baptism photo or any celebration you had in the old church? Please send a copy of the photo (including date, names, and other pertinent information) to Corry Lopez at
celope1014@gmail.com or bring it to the parish office. Mahalo.

OUR PARISH PRESENTS A LIVE STREAM MASS each Sunday at 10:00am only for those who are unable to attend Sunday Mass in person. For those unable to attend Mass at church due to illness or age, pray with us but be sure to stay in the same room at home for the entire Mass and treat the room as though you were actually in our parish church. OUR PARISH HAS JOINED WITH OTHER PARISHES across the islands in a nationwide effort to increase outreach and support for pregnant and parenting mothers in need. We need all of you to join us by praying for all mothers and for the Culture of Life to be an integral part of our community. Let us be like our Blessed Virgin Mary who went in haste to help her cousin Elizabeth when she heard she was pregnant. Mary stayed with her for three months. Mothers, we are in this together, mothers helping other mothers. We have a brochure for you to keep and hope you will contact us if and when you know of a woman in need. We will do everything in our power to assist in whatever way we can. Pregnant and parenting moms in need are in our parishes and our neighborhoods. We are to be a community of mercy and love for them during their difficult times so they can once again get back on their feet.

A review was conducted of more than 20,000 assisted living communities across the country. In the state of Hawaii, we examined 22 facilities to uncover information such as average costs, Medicaid assistance, and more. While long-term care costs in the state vary significantly among its islands, Hawaii has a median monthly assisted living cost of $5,500 — a full $1,500 more than the national average. Read more.

WE ARE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT PARISH, keeping all adults and children safe while on our parish campus. All adult volunteers must complete background screening before serving in any ministry in our parish. For details, send EMAIL to Rommel Ofalsa.

WE ARE MOST GRATEFUL to all our parishioners and friends who make donations to our parish to support our ministries, building fund and parish school tuition assistance program. We offer an online giving option. It's EASY, FAST and SECURE. Click HERE.

THE DIOCESE OF HONOLULU is blessed with many senior (retired) priests, those who are no longer assigned to a parish. These men make present Christ, the Good Shepherd, and continue to give of themselves in countless ways of service for which we are grateful. Can you help them by supporting their retirement fund?
