Lectors
Purpose: To proclaim the Word of God at weekend Masses and other liturgical celebrations. To also present a verbal reenactment of God’s movement through history. When the word of God is proclaimed, it is made present now, and His promises to us are fulfilled in our hearing.
Requirements: Must be 16 years or older, confirmed, in full communion with the Church and able to participate fully in the celebration of the liturgy. Must also have the ability to speak the Word of God clearly and before a large group.
Ministry formation training and annual spiritual development is offered. Training is to determine whether the individual has the skill to read clearly, with expression and devotion. A monthly schedule and brief note from the Coordinator is provided.
