    Hurricane Relief
For the past several weeks, you have seen notices from the USCCB and Bishop Silva asking parishes to hold emergency collections for the victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Recovery is expected to take years and billions of dollars. Unfortunately, the season is not yet over. Jose threatens our East Coast and Maria, now a Category 5 storm, is expected to take the same route as Irma. We ask that you continue to be generous in your giving and relentless in your prayers. Through Catholic Relief Services, you can donate to the islands hardest hit HERE.

The Sacraments are wonderful gifts given to us by Jesus to help us live more fully our Catholic faith, to become vibrant witnesses of the Gospel. Are you an adult Catholic parishioner who has not received First Holy Communion or the Sacrament of Confirmation? Call our parish office TODAY to register for sessions to prepare for Confirmation in May 2018. "Come, Holy Spirit. Fill the hearts of your faithful."

Youth ministry has top priority for us – sharing life and FAITH with our youth is the most important ministry in our parish. The largest of our youth ministries is St. Elizabeth Catholic School where our children come each day to develop their God-given talents and, even at their young age, begin to share in the work of ministering to others, of building God's Kingdom. We don't want to turn away any families who find it difficult to pay the tuition so we turn to you, our parishioners, in our search for any of you who would ADOPT A STUDENT by paying for all or part of their tuition. Yes, you will change a life. For more information, call the school office at 488-5322 or visit their website at
    St. Elizabeth PRE-SCHOOL now open!

Indeed, all parishes within the Diocese of Honolulu are restoring the Original Order of the Sacraments of Initiation between 2018-2020. In the early Church, the person was immersed into the waters of Baptism, anointed with chrism, and shared in the Eucharistic meal as part of a single event. Over time, and for many reasons, the celebration of these three sacraments became separated from one another. In the renewal stemming from the Second Vatican Council, the Church was asked to more clearly set forth the intimate connection of Confirmation with the whole of Christian initiation. This original order also helps us recognize that sharing in the Eucharist completes our initiation into the Church and that it is Eucharist which is the “source and summit of our faith.” Go to for more information on this important change.

St. Elizabeth Catholic Parish has set up the ability to make your offertory gift and donations electronically. Donors are able to quickly and easily manage their donations to weekly collections or one-time gifts. When you have an account set up, you can set up your own donation schedule, view completed and scheduled transactions, and make changes and updates on a 24-hour per day basis. You can make contributions from your checking account, savings account or credit card. See the March 19 BULLETIN to see a list of advantages to giving online. You can also access the online giving link from the myParish app by using the "Giving" icon.
