EACH YEAR THE CATHOLIC COMMITTEE ON SCOUTING offers a Day of Recollection for young people of all ages. This Day of Recollection is an opportunity for scouts and non-scouts and young people of all ages to explore various aspects of their faith. This year we celebrate Saint John Paul II, the patron saint of World Youth Day. We will learn more about who he is, what he did, and some ways that you can 'witness to Jesus' as he did. Participation in the event allows attendees to earn the Saint John Paul II patch. This is a virtual event. Parents are also encouraged to participate with their son/daughter.

We are called through our baptism to be part of the Church’s missionary efforts, through prayer, self-sacrifice and support of missionary vocations through material aid. Remembering that we are baptized and sent as a Universal Church of Christ on mission in the world, we can PRAY for the Church’s worldwide missionary work, and offer financial help and charity through The Society for the Propagation of the Faith for vulnerable communities throughout Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Pacific Islands.

    "Stewardship Attitude"
“For the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
     (Mark 10:45)
If you held a mirror up to your life, would it reflect God’s love and mercy? If you are struggling with this, try changing your attitude from “I want more” to a Stewardship attitude: “Thank you, God for everything you have given me, I have enough to share”. This change in perspective will bring you joy through service to others. Pray daily to become less self-centered and to become more God-centered.

OUR PARISH KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS St. Damien de Veuster Council #6906 offer you a place to recycle your cans and plastics. Look for the two blue bins next to the gift shop.
