Father of mercy, who gave us in Saint Damien a shining witness of love for the poorest and most abandoned, grant that, by his intercession, as faithful witnesses of the heart of your Son Jesus, we too may be servants of the most needy and rejected. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Father Damien is the spiritual patron of lepers, outcasts, and those with HIV/AIDS, and of the State of Hawaii.

    Sunday, May 12
Today the Church throughout the world prays for vocations. Will you make a special effort to ask the Lord for more vocations to the priesthood and religious life?
       • Pray for the priests who have ministered to you throughout your life, both living and dead.
       • Keep our parish priests in your prayers throughout the week.
       • Encourage your children, grandchildren, or other young people to consider a vocation as a priest or religious brother or sister.
       • Pray a rosary for more young men and women in our diocese to respond to God’s call.

    Sunday, May 12

    Annual Priests' Covocation
    May 13-17
Bishop Larry Silva and all the priests of the Honolulu Diocese meet each year in May to evaluate our ministries and plan for the future. This is also an opportunity for the priests to socialize and support one another. Please pray for them during this week. NOTE: there will be a Communion Service instead of 7am Mass May 14-17.

    Friday, May 17
All are invited to the Ordination to the Priesthood of Rev. Romple Emwalu (left) and Rev. Vincent Anh Xuan Vu at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa, 6pm.
