    This feast day of Mary is not a holy day of obligation in our Diocese but all are encouraged to celebrate by coming to Mass to honor the holy Virgin of Virgins.

    Thursday, August 16
    The 175th anniversary of the dedication of the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace will be celebrated. All are invited to attend a special Mass, including the blessing of the renovated sanctuary items and bishops' burial chapels, beginning at 6pm and celebrated by Bishop Larry Silva. Read more.

    Life Symposium

         This symposium addresses the educational component of the U.S. Bishops' Pastoral Plan for Pro-Life Activities and will address serious issues as we look through the lens of Holy Scripture, Church teaching, and personal (life stories) testimonies. Suggested for parents, grandparents, educators, clergy and religious, youth and young adults, ministry leaders, medical professionals, and adult laity because each of us are called to a continuing commitment to preserve the sanctity of life.

    Registration fee: $25. Scholarships are available.

    To raise funds for the Walk for Hunger September 8, the Good Samaritan team will sell delicious Ani’s Bread and Hula Bread after Masses for a donation of $10. The flavors are Apple Cinnamon, Taro and Sweet Bread. Funds collected benefit Hawaii Foodbank and are applied toward any purchases made by the Good Samaritan ministry for our pantry.

    Join Sister Ruth and the Good Samaritan Ministry at the Annual Hawaii Foodbank Hunger Walk at Waterfront Plaza, with registration at 8am. The walk begins at 9am. It’s a one-mile walk with many activities, local entertainment and refreshments provided. Click HERE for details and registration or contact Sister Ruth at 728-5341. You can also register at the event site as a member of St. Elizabeth Parish, Aiea. Students can earn community service hours.

    All parishioners are invited to join us for a study and discussion of the greatest treasure given to us – the Mass and the Most Holy Eucharist. We will meet at our church at 6:30pm for fellowship, light pupus and refreshment. At 7pm we will begin our study experience by viewing a video, "The Mass", with a teaching by Bishop Robert Barron. Join us for this exciting event which is presented by the St. Elizabeth Stewardship Apostolate.

    Our parish school is still accepting registrations for the 2018-2019 school year for grades Pre-K to grade 8. Visit their website for all the details. 


    Register your children for Religious Education (grades K to 5) and for the EDGE (middle school grades 6–8) after weekend Masses through August 18–19. Religious Ed sessions begin Saturday, August 25, 8:30am to 10:00am. The EDGE sessions begin Sunday, August 26, at 4:00pm. Click HERE for more details.     Our parish seeks parishioner who can be a member of our Building Committee to assist us with reviewing upcoming projects and improvements to our parish campus, perhaps a contractor or tradesman or with some knowledge of construction practices.
